2020 BASEBALL CAMP PROGRAMS
(CAMPS FOR 6th-9th GRADERS - REGISTRATION NOW OPEN)
3-Day Hitting Camps (6th-9th Grades)
Get 3 days of direct, intense instruction in the art of hitting. You’ll work the mechanics of your swing and get the opportunity to practice those skills through a variety of drills and hitting exercises, led by coaches from the Serra Baseball Program. You’ll get plenty of swings in the cage and take rounds of live batting practice on the field.
Camp Format - participants will work in both large and small groups, rotating through drills and exercises based on age and experience level.
Limited to 30 participants
- Tues-Thurs, June 23-25, 3-day hitting camp, 11:00-1:00, 8th-9th graders, Limit 30 participants
- Tues-Thurs, July 7-9, 3-day hitting camp, 11:00-1:00, 8th-9th graders, Limit 30 participants
- Tues-Thurs, July 14-16, 3-day hitting camp, 11:00-1:00, 6th-7th graders, Limit 30 participants
Advanced Skills/High School Prep Camp - 9th Graders
This weeklong camp provides incoming 9th graders the chance to experience a high school program in action. Led by Serra Baseball coaches and players, you’ll practice and play like a high school baseball player. You’ll get quality instruction in all aspects of the game - throwing, fielding, base running, hitting and pitching - along with learning the expectations of how to practice and prepare for an entire high school baseball season. Additionally, you’ll be on the field working live baseball situations, learning game skills as they happen.
Camp Format - participants will work in both large and small groups, rotating through drills, exercises, and live, on-field situations.
- Mon-Thurs, Aug 3-6, High School Prep Camp, 11:00-1:30 P.M, Incoming 9th Graders, Limit 30 Participants
Camp Fundamentals
- Fielding - mechanics from different positions
- Hitting - time in the cage and live batting practice
- Base-running
- Situational Baseball
- High school season preparation - (9th Grade Camp)
What to Bring to Camp
- Proper baseball attire (baseball pants, hat)
- Baseball cleats (NO METAL SPIKES)
- Tennis shoes
- Baseball glove
- Baseball bat (if possible)
- Helmet (if possible)
- Water bottle, sunscreen
